I’m a TV purist now, and feel I can’t watch any show unless I’ve seen it from the beginning, in order. But if you’re not that way, I would jump in at the Tom Baker years. He was my first Doctor (fourth of the series), and will always be my favourite. I even named my daughter Nyssa after his companion. If I had had a boy, he would have been Adric.
